I don’t know why I keep these old dusty things lying around in the first place, but it brings back some nostalgia. I’m talking about my journals from when I was younger in life. Believe it or not I kept a journal before blogging existed as I felt my life meant something. Most of my early journalism was centered around major events in my life: Birthdays, holidays, funerals, weddings, etc. So you can image the giant lapses in coverage that would occur. A lot of my journal entries would start with, “Whew it’s been to long,” and its because it had been.
Later in my high school years I was focused on myself and sports, and yes girls. It’s always embarrassing to go back and read through what was going on in my mind. I’d like to think I was immature at that time, and naive, certainly I was. Once in college I tried my best to keep track of things, but technology took over, and that’s when the dust piled up. Now I’m connected online focusing on keeping a log of what I’m doing to improve myself. I’ve been reading about health, and been seeing that Dr Oz has been talking about African mango extract, and I’m planning on trying it soon. I think that there are so many untapped resources we can use to our advantage and this is one.
